The Panty Project

I started this initiative once I learned that once hospitalized, sexual assault survivors’ panties and bras are taken by law enforcement as evidence. In some cases, the hospitals social worker may be able to provide mesh panties for these victims however, in underserviced community hospitals these panties are luxury reserved for new moms in the Maternity Ward.

I also discovered something similar occurs to women that flee to Domestic Violence Shelters in cases of abuse. Panties are generally not provided in shelters but are so badly needed especially for menstruating women.
